Two journeys for Odesa graduates: going abroad and legalising a Ukrainian diploma

The first journey is a Ukrainian graduate going abroad to study or work. A graduate of Odesa Polytechnic, Mechnikov University or the Maritime University heading to Poland or Germany usually needs the set "diploma original + MON apostille + translation of diploma and transcript". For Poland, institutions increasingly require a sworn translation (tłumaczenie przysięgłe), which we produce with our own sworn translators, no middlemen.

The second journey is a foreign graduate of an Odesa university - above all the large international-student faculty at Odesa Medical University - legalising a Ukrainian medical diploma for their home country. Here you need an apostille on the diploma and often the transcript, sometimes a double apostille (on the original and on the notarised translation), plus a translation into the destination language. We build the correct sequence for each journey so the translation does not have to be redone after apostilling.

For Odesa Medical graduates: legalising a doctor's diploma for work abroad

Odesa National Medical University graduates hundreds of international students each year who return home and must legalise their Ukrainian medical diploma to sit licensing exams and practise. For most countries you need an apostille on the diploma and transcript (sometimes on a medical certificate or academic statement too), then a professional translation into the required language, and for non-Hague-Convention countries consular legalisation instead of an apostille.

We file the apostille for you in Kyiv (MON for the diploma itself, with the MFA involved if needed) and prepare the translation with correct medical terminology and a stable Latin transliteration of your surname from your passport. A double apostille is often required - first on the original, then on the notarised translation; we tell you the correct order in advance so you do not pay twice.

For Maritime University graduates: seafarer documents in English

Odesa is the country's largest maritime hub, so a separate stream is graduates of Odesa National Maritime University and maritime colleges who need the diploma, transcript, Certificate of Competency (CoC), seaman's record book and STCW certificates translated into English for crewing agencies and shipping companies.

Maritime translation has its own specifics: competence, rank and function titles under the STCW Convention must be translated consistently with the wording in the seaman's identity document and the CoC. We keep a single terminology across the whole package so the crewing agency does not bounce documents over discrepancies. The Poland corridor: sworn translation and diploma nostrification

To enrol at a Polish university or to nostrify (recognise) a Ukrainian diploma in Poland, you almost always need the diploma and transcript with grades and hours, a MON apostille on the diploma and a translation into Polish. Many institutions require a sworn translation specifically, produced by a tłumacz przysięgły listed in the register of the Polish Ministry of Justice.
