One extract, a different checklist per country
The extract is a standard document from the MIA unified register – identical wherever in Ukraine you order it. The receiving country decides everything else: whether an apostille is needed, which translation certification is accepted, and how fresh the document must be (abroad it is generally taken for 3-6 months from issue, inside Ukraine for about 30 days).
Getting the format wrong usually means ordering the extract all over again, so we confirm the requirements before any work starts – the assessment of your scans is free.
Poland first – then Germany, Czechia and Canada
The busiest direction from Lviv is Poland: work permits, karta pobytu, family reunification. Czechia likewise relies on sworn translations. In Germany each institution sets its own rule, from a notarised translation of the apostilled extract to a translator sworn in Germany itself. Canada joined the Hague Convention in 2024, so an apostille replaces consular legalisation there and the translation is done into English or French. Non-Hague destinations still require consular legalisation – a longer chain best started right after the extract is issued.
