When you need a passport translation

A notarised passport translation is most often required for visa applications, temporary or permanent residence permits, marriage to a foreign national, opening an account with a foreign bank, employment and enrolment in a school or university abroad. In each case the receiving party expects a complete translation certified by a notary.

We translate both the Ukrainian passport (booklet and ID card) and the foreign travel passport. For the ID card we also translate the registry extract showing the registered address, since the card itself does not display it. In parallel, we check the Latin spelling of your first and last name against your foreign passport - the critical step for a passport, because a mismatch in even one letter breaks the whole document set. If the passport is translated together with a birth certificate or diploma, we bring the name to a single standard across all translations. Once translated, a certified translator signs the work and a notary certifies the authenticity of that signature - from 250 UAH depending on the number of pages. It is the notarisation that gives the translation official force in Ukraine and most countries.

If you need an apostille on a passport

When the document is submitted abroad via apostille, it is important to know that in Ukraine the apostille is issued by the relevant ministries - Justice, Foreign Affairs and Education - all located in Kyiv, not Kharkiv. We take care of the logistics: we accept the documents at our Sumska St office in Kharkiv, file them with the Kyiv ministries on your behalf and return the finished result.

An apostille costs from 950 UAH plus the state fee. The exact sequence - apostille on the original or on the translation - depends on the destination country, so we map out the route for your case free of charge before any work begins.
