Ternopil is a city where Ukrainian diplomas often begin a life abroad: the Horbachevsky medical university teaches students from 68 countries, and every year its graduates legalise documents for careers back home. Locals, meanwhile, prepare certificates and contracts for work or study abroad. Etalon supports both remotely: notarized translation, apostille and certificates – from scans, with no office visit.
Apostille in Ternopil: filing without leaving the city
Since 1 February 2026, Justice-category documents – certificates, notarial copies, court rulings – are accepted at any DRACS office, at a notary, in a state archive or via the Diia app; Ternopil also hosts a subdivision of the Ivano-Frankivsk interregional justice department at 8 Hrushevskoho St. Fee 670 UAH, up to 3 business days. Both scenarios – the TNMU diploma and family documents – are covered on the apostille in Ternopil page.
TNMU and WUNU: documents for study and recognition
I. Horbachevsky Ternopil National Medical University (TNMU) has admitted international students since 1997 and runs a dedicated Faculty of Foreign Students: 1,977 of its 6,530 students came from 68 countries. West Ukrainian National University (WUNU) also works with international students, from its preparatory department onwards.
For foreign graduates we prepare a diploma translation with the transcript, the Education-Ministry apostille and the recognition package for home – fully remotely, with no trip to Ukraine. For Ukrainian students we translate application documents for study abroad; for incoming students, their school certificates for study in Ukraine.

- Personal documents – passports, birth and marriage certificates, official statements; we also translate the police-clearance certificate with an MVS apostille via Diia when that is what you need.
- Educational documents – TNMU, WUNU and other university diplomas: translation, the Education-Ministry apostille, preparation for recognition abroad.
- Medical translation – discharge summaries and records for TNMU's medical students, plus documents for treatment or insurance abroad.
- Legal translation – powers of attorney, court rulings and contracts with precise terminology.
- Document retrieval – duplicate birth or marriage certificates for a family archive, plus statements from state institutions when the original is lost or outdated.
Police-clearance certificate: everything through Diia
The criminal-record extract is ordered online – via Diia or the MVS portal – and the Interior Ministry itself apostilles it: in Diia the extract comes bundled with its stamp and arrives by Ukrposhta. If you then need a certified translation for a specific country, we prepare the full package – see police-clearance certificate.
What translation costs in Ternopil
Working out the price in Ternopil is simple – three factors:
- Document type. A TNMU diploma with transcript for international graduates is priced by the page of the transcript; a standard certificate or statement is a flat per-document fee.
- Certification. In Ternopil the apostille is searched for as often as a translation bureau – the subdivision at 8 Hrushevskoho St or any DRACS office takes applications; it's a separate line item, like notarisation.
- Target language. For TNMU's international graduates the translation is usually into English; for other requests it's Polish, rare languages go to a dedicated specialist.
Standard certificates and statements are ready in 1-2 business days. A TNMU diploma with the Education-Ministry apostille takes longer – the ministry applies its own stamp, so allow 3-5 days. Urgent orders are agreed individually.
Photograph your documents and send them via Telegram, Viber or WhatsApp – Etalon quotes the exact price, completes the certified translation and ships the finished package by Nova Poshta to a convenient branch in Ternopil.
